RNA is a non-partisan citizen organization which promotes and supports fairness, accountability and equity in government through study of the issues and citizen action. RNA's strength has been, and always will be, our many members and supporters. These outspoken and informed Americans attend public policy forums, city and county government meetings; participate in surveys and petition drives; help educate their friends, colleagues, and neighbors about government issues; and call and write letters to the media and government leaders. Their endorsement of RNA's work to promote governmental responsibility and accountability, by both their actions and their contributions, makes RNA Rutherford County's #1 government watchdog organization.

The goals of the RNA are to;

• Join hands across city and neighborhood boundaries.
• Seek accountability from elected and appointed officials.
• Empower ordinary citizens by providing information.
• Promote ethical behavior by elected and appointed officials.
• Speak up in public forums to inform officials and other citizens about reasonable, alternative public policy designed to promote quality of life for all people.
• Speak up in public forums to promote fair treatment for all citizens in all areas of Rutherford County.
• Support RNA selected local issues.
